Mangala Sutra - Part Three

Mangala Sutra - Part Three

Author: Yeshe Rabgye August 26, 2022 Duration: 18:58
In this third part of the Mangala Sutra, we will look at the Social Principles. These social principles take us further into our journey of becoming more responsible and reducing our mental suffering. By implementing these principles, we will also be reducing the suffering of those around us. This is not a selfish journey; it is one that helps us gain compassion for others. But gaining compassion isn’t enough. We have to reflect on the principles and put what we learn into practice. So, these following principles cover why generosity is important, how we can practice virtuous actions, support our family and friends, and how to live a blameless life. This podcast is based on my book ‘Life’s Meandering Path’- which is available from Amazon and Kindle. In a world often filled with noise, Buddhism Guide offers a space for practical reflection. Hosted by Yeshe Rabgye, a Buddhist monk originally from England, this podcast approaches ancient wisdom with a grounded, secular perspective. Yeshe travels internationally, sharing teachings on meditation, mindfulness, and mental well-being, but here he distils those conversations into accessible audio sessions. The tone is deliberately unpretentious, stripping away cultural ornamentation to focus on the core principles that can be applied to modern life. You won't find dogma here; instead, each episode invites a personal examination of your own mind and experiences. Yeshe presents ideas with clarity, never demanding blind acceptance but encouraging thoughtful inquiry. Whether exploring the nature of suffering, the mechanics of meditation, or the everyday cultivation of compassion, this podcast serves as a pragmatic companion. It’s for anyone curious about how Buddhist thought can inform a more resilient and aware existence, regardless of spiritual background. Tuning in feels less like attending a lecture and more like engaging in a considered dialogue, one that values your own insight as much as the teaching itself.
