The Weaving of a Kinder World

The Weaving of a Kinder World

Author: Yeshe Rabgye October 4, 2025 Duration: 8:44

Imagine a person who wants to become happy and wise. But this person makes a very special promise. They say, "I will not become happy if it is only for myself. I will work to become happy and wise so that I can help every other person, and every living thing, to also become happy and wise." This person is called a Bodhisattva. This idea is a very important part of Buddhism. This is not just a traditional teaching, it is extremely relevant today also.

In a world often filled with noise, Buddhism Guide offers a space for practical reflection. Hosted by Yeshe Rabgye, a Buddhist monk originally from England, this podcast approaches ancient wisdom with a grounded, secular perspective. Yeshe travels internationally, sharing teachings on meditation, mindfulness, and mental well-being, but here he distils those conversations into accessible audio sessions. The tone is deliberately unpretentious, stripping away cultural ornamentation to focus on the core principles that can be applied to modern life. You won't find dogma here; instead, each episode invites a personal examination of your own mind and experiences. Yeshe presents ideas with clarity, never demanding blind acceptance but encouraging thoughtful inquiry. Whether exploring the nature of suffering, the mechanics of meditation, or the everyday cultivation of compassion, this podcast serves as a pragmatic companion. It’s for anyone curious about how Buddhist thought can inform a more resilient and aware existence, regardless of spiritual background. Tuning in feels less like attending a lecture and more like engaging in a considered dialogue, one that values your own insight as much as the teaching itself.
