Wir überwinden den Stapelrand des Kleinladungsträgers und begeben uns auf die Suche nach der Euronorm der Euronormbox. Es geht auch um Geschichte, Erfinder und allerlei mehr oder weniger wissenswertes um das womöglich beliebteste Plastikteil Europas. Keine Chaos-Veranstaltung kommt ohne den bekannten Stapelbehälter aus. Aus der Logistikbranche, vielen Hackspaces und auch Privathaushalten ist die Eurobox nicht mehr wegzudenken. Aber was macht eine Eurobox zu einer Eurobox, welche Eigenschaften sind Teil der Spezifikation und wer hält sich dran? Ist die Bahn etwa schon wieder Schuld? Eurobox, Eurokiste, Euronormbehälter, Kleinladungsträger, wie heißt das Ding nun richtig? Um diese und viele weitere Fragen zu beantworten, habe ich tagelang in ISO-, DIN- und Euronormen recherchiert, Datenblätter und Dokumente privater Verbände durchforstet, Patentanmeldungen, historische Zeitschriften und Bildarchive durchkämmt. Es geht auch um Tauschsysteme der Industrie, die Herstellung, Materialeigenschaften, sowie Kompatibilität zwischen Herstellern und Zubehör.
