Nicht nur für Funkamateure ist interessant, welche Software es für Antennen-Simulation – und die graphische Anzeige der Ergebnisse – unter Linux gibt. Das klassische »Numerical Electromagnetics Code« (NEC) [1], ursprünglich in Fortran am Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory entwickelt, ist zu einer Zeit entstanden als staatlich finanzierte Software in den USA noch public domain war. Später wurde das Programm von Neoklis Kyriazis nach C übersetzt und ist auch heute noch im Standard-Umfang von Debian. Selbst habe ich eine Re-Implementierung von Mininec in Python geschrieben [2]. Mininec ist nicht verwandt mit NEC und verwendet einen anderen Algorithmus für die Simulation. Es kann einige Dinge besser als NEC [3]. Für die graphische Ausgabe gibt in Debian xnecview [4], mit dem die Ausgabe von nec2c geplottet werden kann. Das Programm xnec2c vereint die Funktion von nec2c mit einer graphischen Ausgabe (vom selben Autor wie nec2c). Selbst habe ich Plot-Antenna geschrieben [5], das die Ausgabe von NEC, MININEC, ASAP [6] und einigen Verwandten plotten kann. Es gibt Backends für Matplotlib und Plotly. Mit Letzterem kann man auch interaktive Web-Grafiken erzeugen. Beispiele finden sich in meinem Blog [7].
