Pro tip: it’s tough to get drunk from near beer. Intern Brian is back to provide some pro bono work to the Republic. We’re also talking about mixing alcohol, being given free beer, the world running out of booze, and recycling spent grain.

Greg kicks off the hydration with a review of DeLorean Dust, a ten percenter from Alvarado Street Brewery. Intern Brian is sipping on The Butcher, an Imperial Stout from Societe Brewing Company.

It turns out that the Craft Beer Republic is still worldwide and doing better than ever in Finland. Greg ran into a listener who handed over some free beer. Brian and Flex have been doing some research from home. And Greg talks about his very boozy road trip, including stops at Firestone and a few other breweries.

Turns out that Deadwood, South Dakota, has some weirdness around mixing drinks.

Bad news for London, they’re about to run out of beer. Is it time for Londoners to learn how to brew? To make things worse, Heineken is launching 0.0 on tap. AB InBev is working with scientists to recycle spent grain.
