Endometriosis (Endo) is a chronic disease where tissue that is similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside of the uterus. In Australia, 830,000 women, girls and people assigned female at birth are living with endo. It takes on average 6.5 years to be diagnosed. Endo can only be officially diagnosed through laparoscopy surgery.
