Sue Patterson is a homeschooling coach and founder of Unschooling Mom2Mom. She helps parents find creative ways to approach learning and reconnect with their children, when their current educational option isn’t working.
Sue has been active in the homeschooling community for twenty-five years and is happy to share practical suggestions of how to make unschooling work. Her own three unschooled children are now all young adults with successful careers, degrees and families.
Sue offers a variety of coaching packages, printable guides, ebooks and courses at www.SuePatterson.com. Her book, Homeschooled Teens : 75 Young People Speak about their Lives without School is available at Amazon.

When I have had questions about unschooling, Sue Patterson is someone that I have turned to. She is an unschooling veteran that understands the doubts, the fears, the worries and most importantly, the joy that unschooling to adulthood brings.

In This Episode

In this episode interview I wanted Sue to share a little more about her family's journey into unschooling, including how they got there and why they chose to continue. Sue not only shares their story but she also shares the points in the journey that are important for any of us to hear.

  • Her lack of confidence when they first started and what tested her beliefs
  • Unschooling and learning to read
  • Knowing what she knows now, what things she would change
  • The deschooling process
  • How her children learned
  • Finding Resources
  • Prioritizing connection and communication
  • Unschooling to adulthood

Resources

You can find Sue's numerous resources for unschooling on her website, www.SuePatterson.com. For more information about unschooling, go to www.UnschoolingMom2Mom.com
