Reclaim. Resist. Resilience.

Homeschooling shifts and changes with the season, doesn't it? Our homeschool seasons may follow a weather pattern, but more often than not, they follow development, physical cycles and the impact of our life experiences. In this episode Kelly Edwards and I talk about this newest season of homeschool that we face. Our kids are getting older, the world around us is shifting and our needs have become clearer. What we need is our 3 R's- Reclaim, Resists and Resilience.

This March 18th, we are hosting another homeschooling summit~ How To Be An Awesome Homeschooler ~ based on the Three R's~ Reclaim, Resist, Resilience. We know through our own experience that we can't do this alone. Homeschooling works best in community. So we have decided to create one. You can join us at the summit.

In This Episode.... Reclaim

What does we need to reclaim in our homeschool? Kelly and I talk about how our homeschool can be impacted when we work at reclaiming childhood, motherhood, the teen years, freedom and independence.

Resist

Did you know that just the act of choosing to homeschool is resistance? Resistance can mean many things to different people, but in homeschooling the choice to resist is impactful. We talk about how choosing to resist things like parenting norms that no longer serve us, beliefs about children and the learning process can actually free us in our homeschool journey.

Resilience

The 3 R's actually tie together. When we choose to reclaim our core values, childhood and the natural learning process, we are resisting the beleifs and fears that are holding us back. And when we begin facing our fears and learning how to work through them, connect and find support, our resileince grows. Our children become more resilient and in turn, our family structure does too.

Who doesn't want that?

Join us March 18th in my Club, Honey! I'm Homeschooling on the Clubhouse app. The summit is a free all day event with a chance to learn, ask questions and connect.
