Learning, Partnering and Parenting With Teens~Lainie Liberti

Did your homeschool see a major shift once your children became teens?

Or are you looking ahead as to how you can best navigate the teen years to come?

Want to stay connected to your teen and support their positive mental health?

Lainie Liberti joined me on this episode to talk about Parenting and Partnering with our teens.

Lainie is a best selling author, international speaker, teen mentor,  worldschooler, partnership parenting paradigm advocate and mother. In 2012 Lainie co-founded Project World School with her son and has  lived in community with over a 100 teens in over 20 international locations.

Lainie founded Transformative Mentoring for Teens in 2020 in response to the growing need to support teen's mental health. Lainie just released her first book, Seen, Heard & Understood, Parenting and Partnering with Teens for Greater Mental Health. It is a number 1 best seller on Amazon in the Parenting New Releasees. Lainie is also a community leader and alternative education advocate. She is often credited with spearheading the thriving Worldschooling movement.

In This Episode

In this episode Lainie shares insights into their worldschooling journey, what it means to choose a life that reflects their values best and why they connect with radical unschooling.

She has me reflecting on my own parenting and practices around gentle parenting and unschooling.

We explored:

  •  What it means to parent in partnership vs gentle or attachment parenting (Is gentle parenting just a really nice way to get our children to follow our orders? )
  • What Radical Unschooling means to her
  • Worldschooling for life
  • Radical Unschooling and Teens
  • Supporting Teens and Mental Health
  • Her book~ Seen, Heard & Understood, Parenting and Partnering with your Teen for Greater Mental Health! and why Lainie believes in the importance of supporting our teens
