Beloved survivor, if you are feeling depleted, defeated, lost and confused, we here at the show see you and feel you and invite you to apply to sister Autumn's fall program, The Fortification Cohort.

It's an 8-week process of collective and self study, where we learn how to practice fugitivity, and in so doing, map a new internal landscape defined by agency and courage, instead of dissociation and collapse.

Fugitivity is more than escape. It is making ourselves powerful, both individually and collectively. It is remembering a much longer timeline for our freedom fight, and holding connection to that reality no matter the conditions around us. It is a process of conditioning the soul for the righteous fight.
This program is for you if:

  • You want to practice freedom in your own life, but you are not sure how.
  • You have an existing practice for self-regulation and have already done some of your own healing work.
  • You have a working understanding of trauma, but you find the victim/oppressor dichotomy to be limiting and overly simplistic. You want an updated framework for understanding conditions as they are.
  • You want to make change in the world, but struggle to turn your values and wisdom into action.
  • You desire to work in multiracial and multi-class formation using black feminist principles, without throwing anyone away.

Head to Autumn's website for more information about the cohort: www.iambrown.org/fortification

Sisters Autumn Brown and adrienne maree brown host How to Survive the End of the World, a podcast rooted in their shared lives as writers, activists, and facilitators shaped by multiracial diasporic lineages. This isn't a theoretical discussion about distant catastrophes; it's a direct, grounded conversation about the endings we are all already living through-the collapse of systems, the death of old ways, and the personal transformations that feel like worlds dissolving. Each episode delves into the tangible, often messy practices a community needs to navigate these ruptures. You'll hear them explore how we grieve, how we organize, how we imagine futures, and how we find wholeness even as things fall apart. The dialogue is intimate and urgent, moving from the kitchen table to the front lines of social change, always asking what it means to survive with integrity and connection. This podcast operates from the belief that learning to face endings together is the first, most necessary step toward building something new.
