46. Clinical Evidence That Meat Based & Keto Diets Do Not Increase Risk of Heart Disease

Author: Zane Griggs: Fitness Expert February 1, 2021 Duration: 26:12

In the face of flawed nutrition guidelines that have been influenced by sponsorships and contracts from processed food and soda companies, I would like to present some clinical studies showing no CVD risk of hunter-gatherer, meat-based, or keto diets.

- Small dense LDL particles or oxidized LDL particles often get caught in inflamed arterial tissue which has become porous and sticky.

- Inflammation can be caused by chronic hyperinsulinemia and high blood sugar OR by bacteria.

- Atherosclerotic plaque builds up as our immune system, monocytes and macrophages, attack the bacteria. Foam cells are formed and small, dense LDL particles can be caught in the repair process.

- Visceral fat increases risk for ICU admission and the need for ventilation for Covid-19

- The immune system and organ function are compromised by visceral fat.

- The best ways to reduce visceral fat are intermittent fasting and a low-carb diet.

Hosted by fitness expert Zane Griggs, Hunger Hunt Feast | Strategic Fitness digs into a fundamental rhythm that shapes everything we do. It starts with a craving-for better health, a stronger body, or a more fulfilling life. That’s the Hunger. What follows is the strategic pursuit, the Hunt, where plans are made and work gets done. Finally, there’s the Feast, enjoying the tangible results and the satisfaction that comes from earning them. This isn’t just a metaphor for the gym; it’s a lens for viewing business, relationships, and personal growth. Each episode of this podcast unpacks practical, actionable ways to channel that innate drive. You’ll hear conversations that move beyond generic advice, focusing instead on the systems and mindsets that turn a need into focused action, and that action into a reward. It’s for anyone tired of abstract theories and ready to apply a timeless, powerful pattern to their fitness, nutrition, and broader life ambitions. Tune in to transform your hunger into a strategy, and your strategy into a feast.
