101: Handling Social Media Backlash and Negative Comments on Your Content

101: Handling Social Media Backlash and Negative Comments on Your Content

Author: The Two Lauras March 26, 2024 Duration: 33:09

What’s our least favourite thing as social media managers? Definitely when negative comments get posted on our content or our clients’ content. We all know people don’t mind saying things behind a screen they’d never say in real life, but we still have to handle it!

In today’s episode, we’re going to talk all about different types of comments we’ve received from different types of people, from trolls to angry customers. It can be really hard to know how to respond in various situations - or whether you should even respond at all! But never fear, you’re sure to finish this episode with an action plan of how you can move forward in dealing with negative comments with confidence.

In this episode, we’re chatting about:

  • The effect on your mindset when negative comments appear
  • How to avoid seeing negative comments when you don’t want to
  • Which comments you should respond to and which you should ignore
  • When to filter, block or delete the people in question
