D: Πόσα χρόνια δουλεύετε; How many years have you been working?
Ε: Πολλά! Δουλεύω τριάντα τρία χρόνια. Ολόκληρη ζωή! Τουλάχιστον να έχουμε την υγεία μας και να έχουμε και ειρήνη. Many! I’ve been working for 33 years. A whole life! At least we are in good health and I hope we have peace!
D:Έχετε δίκιο! Υγεία πάνω απ’ όλα. You’re right! Health above everything!
E: Έχετε παιδιά;/ Do you have kids?
D: Ναι / Yes
E: Πόσα παιδιά έχετε;/ How many kids do you have?
D: Πέντε. / five
E: Μπράβο! Να σας ζήσουν!/ Bravo! Congrats
D: Ευχαριστώ. Εσείς;/ Thank you! And you?
E: Εμείς έχουμε δύο. Δύο αγόρια, ο ένας είναι στο ναυτικό, ο άλλος στο πανεπιστήμιο./ We have 2. 2 boys, one is in the navy and the other one at the university.
D: Σταματήστε λίγο στην πλατεία. Θέλω να πάρω λουλούδια. / Can we stop at the square? I want to buy flowers.
E: Λουλούδια για το σπίτι; / Flowers for the house?
D: Ναι. / Yes.
E: Να σταματήσω εδώ στην γωνία να σας περιμένω; Στην πλατεία είναι αδύνατον να μείνω. / Should I stop here in the corner to wait for you? I can’t stop at the square.
D: Ναι! Ναι! Δεν θα αργήσω! Yes! Yes! I’ll be quick
E: Ωραία!/ Good
D: Και τώρα κατευθείαν σπίτι γιατί έχω αργήσει. / And now let’s go home cause I am late.
E: Κατευθείαν σπίτι! Αχ να ξέρατε πως σας νιώθω! Με τι χαρά σας περιμένουν σπίτι. / Directly home! Ah I know this feeling. They are excited to see you home!
D: Δεύτερος δρόμος δεξιά, τρίτη πόρτα αριστερά. Στη μονοκατοικία. / Second street to the right, the third door on the left. At the house!
E: Καλά είναι εδώ; / Is ti good here?
D:Ναι μια χαρά! Τι χρωστάω; / Yes it’s good! How much?
E: Είναι δεκατρία και μισό παρακαλώ! / It’s 13.5 euros please.
D: Ορίστε! Κρατήστε τα ρέστα. / Here you go! Keep the change.
