D: Πώς ήταν η βάφτιση του Αχιλλέα; / How was Achilleas’ baptism?
E: Αχ, πάρα πολύ ωραία! Περάσαμε τέλεια! / Ah it was amazing! We had a lot of fun.
D: Στολίσατε την εκκλησία και την κολυμπήθρα; / Did you decorate the church and the baptistery?
E: Δεν στολίσαμε την εκκλησία, ούτε την κολυμπήθρα γιατί δεν μας άφησαν. Στολίσαμε όμως το εξοχικό μας που έγινε το πάρτυ μετά την βάφτιση. / No we didn’t decorate the church, neither the baptistery because they didn’t let us. We decorated our beach house though where we had the party after the baptism.
D: Ο Αχιλλέας πώς ήτανε; Έκλαψε καθόλου; / How was Achilleas? Did he cry at all?
E: Άσε, έκανε πολλή ζέστη και ήταν γκρινιάρης. Όταν βγάλαμε τα ρούχα και οι νονές βάλανε το λάδι ήταν ήρεμος. Αλλά μόλις ο παπάς τον έβαλε στο νερό άρχισε να κλαίει πολύ. Μετά του έκοψε τα μαλλιά και φόρεσε τα βαφτιστικά του. Του έδωσα και ένα μπισκοτάκι και ηρέμισε. / It was extremely hot and he was fussy. When we took his clothes off and his godmathers put the oil on him, he was calm. But when the priest put him in the water he started crying a lot. After that we gave him a cookie and he was calm.
D: Αχ ψυχή μου! Πως περάσατε στο πάρτυ; / Aww my heart! How was the party?
E: Περάσαμε αξέχαστα. Είχαμε μπομπονιέρες και σαμπάνια στην είσοδο για τους καλεσμένους. Είχαμε πολύ φαγητό, σουβλάκια, μπριζόλες, κοτόπουλο ψητό, σαλάτες και πατάτες. / We had a great time. We had the baptism favors and some campaign in the entrance for our friends. We had a lot of food, souvlakia, steak, chichen, salads and potatoes.
D: Πω πω ακούγονται νόστιμα. / Po po they sound delicious.
E: Ήταν όλα πεντανόστιμα. Είχαμε και δύο φωτογράφους και βγάλαμε πολλές φωτογραφίες. Ο Αχιλλέας όμως ήταν πολύ κουρασμένος και πήγε για ύπνο νωρίς. Μετά εμείς ξεκινήσαμε τον χορό και τα κοκτέιλ. / Everything was delicious. We had two photographers and we took a lot of pictures. But Achilleas was very tired and he went to bed early. After that we started dancing and drinking cocktails.
D: Φαντάζομαι και πολύ καλά κάνατε. Ο μικρός είμαι σίγουρη ότι ήταν πολύ κουρασμένος. Τώρα θα αρχίσω να ετοιμάζω και εγώ την βάφτιση της μικρής μας. / I can imagine and you did the right thing. I am sure that the little one was very tired. I have to start planning my daughter’s baptism as well.
E: Ναι να ξεκινήσεις νωρίς! / Yes, you need to get started soon.
