Six Men on Trial for Decades of Abuse | Manchester News

Six men stand trial in Manchester accused of decades-spanning sexual abuse, with three survivors detailing harrowing accounts of grooming and forced acts—some allegedly occurring in a single day. One defendant, Amjad Mahmood, is absent, receiving psychiatric treatment abroad and deemed unfit to stand trial, yet jurors must still decide if he committed the crimes and without consent. Girl A, testifying with unshakable resolve, declared “I’m not lying,” backing up key details like a Scotland road trip with Tahir Rashid—a claim Rashid denies. All defendants, including Rashid, Saleem, Shah, Mohammed, and Hussain, deny every charge, ranging from rape to indecent assault. As the jury sifts through testimony, the courtroom grapples with truth amid deeply disturbing allegations.
