Season 4 Ep 13: Why You Should Celebrate Yourself — Yep, YOU!

Season 4 Ep 13: Why You Should Celebrate Yourself — Yep, YOU!

Author: Lisa Kuzman March 8, 2021 Duration: 11:28

Break out the the candles, the cake, and the confetti because it's my birthday month! Yes, I do make a point to celebrate myself for an entire month — and I encourage you to do it, too. It doesn't have to be this month, it doesn't even have to be 30 (or 31) consecutive days, but honoring and celebrating yourself is important for so many reasons.

For me, this grew naturally from two things: a less-than-stellar birthday, and my practice of self-love on Valentine's day. (episode 5 of this season, in case you missed it!) So this week, I want to share how I celebrate myself, and hopefully give you a few ideas on how you can make this tradition your own.

Now, you know you can book a call with me over at lisakuzman.com, but I soooo want to hear all about how you plan to celebrate yourself! Join our trauma-sensitive leadership group on Facebook and tell us all about it: https://www.facebook.com/groups/764082764458292/
I'll consider it your birthday gift to me. See you next time!

There's a quiet shift happening in how we think about authority and influence, and New Wave Leadership Podcast is right at the heart of it. Host Lisa Kuzman believes traditional, top-down leadership models have run their course, proving ineffective for today's complex world. Instead, this movement champions a much broader, more inclusive vision. Each episode digs into the real, often unspoken challenges that come with stepping into a role of influence, whether you're in a corner office, a community group, or simply leading your own life. The conversations here actively work to expand our definition of who gets to be a leader, arguing passionately for the necessity of diverse identities, perspectives, and lived experiences at the helm. You'll hear frank discussions about authenticity, the personal hurdles leaders navigate behind closed doors, and practical ideas for cultivating your own unique leadership identity without conforming to outdated standards. Tuning into this podcast feels like joining a necessary dialogue-one that moves beyond theory to explore what it genuinely means to show up and make an impact on your own terms.
