Season 6 Ep 15: Reflection, Expansion, and Celebrating Yourself

Season 6 Ep 15: Reflection, Expansion, and Celebrating Yourself

Author: Lisa Kuzman November 1, 2021 Duration: 19:17

For the past few teaching episodes this season, I've talked a lot about my personal development journey over the last decade. Every day, it becomes clearer and clearer to me that it is so important for me to acknowledge everything that's happened in those ten years (especially the last two).

Part of why this is on my mind so much is because — you heard it here first! — I'm officially training for my first FULL marathon. Because of how I like to process things, my marathon training is like a built-in period of reflection.

Now, I'm obviously big on reflection — but you might not be. So I want this episode to be your reminder to notice, take time, and remember everything you've accomplished lately. And I don't just mean the big stuff! I'm talking about the internal shifts, the processes by which you change and become more YOU.

And then? I want you to celebrate that sh*t!

Of course, I'd be totally jazzed if you want to tell me what you're celebrating. Big, small, for my eyes only, doesn't matter — it's all worth a happy dance, a fist-pump, and a "Hell yeah!" Shoot me an email at podcast@lisakuzman.com.

There's a quiet shift happening in how we think about authority and influence, and New Wave Leadership Podcast is right at the heart of it. Host Lisa Kuzman believes traditional, top-down leadership models have run their course, proving ineffective for today's complex world. Instead, this movement champions a much broader, more inclusive vision. Each episode digs into the real, often unspoken challenges that come with stepping into a role of influence, whether you're in a corner office, a community group, or simply leading your own life. The conversations here actively work to expand our definition of who gets to be a leader, arguing passionately for the necessity of diverse identities, perspectives, and lived experiences at the helm. You'll hear frank discussions about authenticity, the personal hurdles leaders navigate behind closed doors, and practical ideas for cultivating your own unique leadership identity without conforming to outdated standards. Tuning into this podcast feels like joining a necessary dialogue-one that moves beyond theory to explore what it genuinely means to show up and make an impact on your own terms.
