Season 6 Ep 18: Coach Tracey Forde on Messiness, Curiosity, and the Human Asset

Season 6 Ep 18: Coach Tracey Forde on Messiness, Curiosity, and the Human Asset

Author: Lisa Kuzman November 11, 2021 Duration: 40:22

My guest this week is the fierce, fearless, and unapologetic Tracey Forde! Tracey is wife and a mother, as well as a sought-after Liberation & Trauma Healing coach, speaker, author & businesswoman. Her smile is infectious, her vibe is down-to-earth, and her passion is helping people who identify as women and are Black or of African descent liberate their mind, body & spirit. The ultimate vision is for them to reconnect with and reclaim the lost parts of themselves as they grow, thrive, and flourish.

This was a delightful conversation that I know you're going to love, especially if you enjoy topics like:

  • Examining and learning from the "breadcrumbs" from our ancestors
  • Leadership that encourages curiosity, and provides growth opportunities
  • Letting things get messy to reveal the strength of who we are
  • Honoring our curiosity even when it's intense or difficult

"I know that that intensity, that messiness, is going to reveal — it's like the diamond in the rough, or the oyster that's creating this beautiful pearl. So I'm excited for that because that means growth. Even in the midst of that, it means somewhere, I'm going to get some upleveling in my emotional, spiritual, physical, financial, in some part of my life, and I'm going to be able to share that."

Tracey, thank you so much for coming onto the show this week and sharing all your gorgeous insights! If you'd like to learn more about Tracey (or just bask in her vibes), her Instagram is a great place to get started: www.instagram.com/plantedtoflourish/

There's a quiet shift happening in how we think about authority and influence, and New Wave Leadership Podcast is right at the heart of it. Host Lisa Kuzman believes traditional, top-down leadership models have run their course, proving ineffective for today's complex world. Instead, this movement champions a much broader, more inclusive vision. Each episode digs into the real, often unspoken challenges that come with stepping into a role of influence, whether you're in a corner office, a community group, or simply leading your own life. The conversations here actively work to expand our definition of who gets to be a leader, arguing passionately for the necessity of diverse identities, perspectives, and lived experiences at the helm. You'll hear frank discussions about authenticity, the personal hurdles leaders navigate behind closed doors, and practical ideas for cultivating your own unique leadership identity without conforming to outdated standards. Tuning into this podcast feels like joining a necessary dialogue-one that moves beyond theory to explore what it genuinely means to show up and make an impact on your own terms.
