Season 7 Ep 14: Megan Hale on Changing the Space You're Able to Hold

Author: Lisa Kuzman February 17, 2022 Duration: 26:22

Welcome back, everyone! This week, I'm excited to share my conversation with business strategist and money mentor Megan Hale! She works with freedom driven entrepreneurs who are ready to step into feel good money and create sustainable, aligned business growth. Megan is also a former psychotherapist, a previous guest on the podcast, and a graduate of the READY program.

Megan shared so beautifully about her experiences with READY, including:

  • The importance of taking a holistic lens and NOT bypassing
  • What it means to be a compassionate leader
  • Witnessing AND celebrating each other
  • How having the right tools can be a massive catalyst

"Not only do we have our own lived experiences that we're going through, but we also have collective lived experiences that are oftentimes very traumatic. And to think that we're just going to bypass those, or we're just going to go on as business as usual — that's not the real live human experience. So I think oftentimes when we don't have the words, we don't have the tools, we don't have the training, we can sometimes shy away from having conversations that really need to be had. [...] That is such a gift that can be such a catalyst for helping people take that next step forward. But if you don't have the tools, it's really easy to not trust yourself to open that conversation, to hold that space, to check in with your people in that way."

Megan, thank you so much for being a part of READY and for coming on the show to share your experiences with everyone. Feel like READY is part of your next step forward? Here's how to get started:

There's a quiet shift happening in how we think about authority and influence, and New Wave Leadership Podcast is right at the heart of it. Host Lisa Kuzman believes traditional, top-down leadership models have run their course, proving ineffective for today's complex world. Instead, this movement champions a much broader, more inclusive vision. Each episode digs into the real, often unspoken challenges that come with stepping into a role of influence, whether you're in a corner office, a community group, or simply leading your own life. The conversations here actively work to expand our definition of who gets to be a leader, arguing passionately for the necessity of diverse identities, perspectives, and lived experiences at the helm. You'll hear frank discussions about authenticity, the personal hurdles leaders navigate behind closed doors, and practical ideas for cultivating your own unique leadership identity without conforming to outdated standards. Tuning into this podcast feels like joining a necessary dialogue-one that moves beyond theory to explore what it genuinely means to show up and make an impact on your own terms.
