Atlanta Cancer Care Foundation
An attorney with more than 14 years of experience in management and support of both charities and associations (including 10 years in senior leadership), I am proud to be a nonprofit and association specialist. My core belief is that these organizations can best achieve their mission if they have strong management and leadership, and I strive to provide both.
In 2015, I became Executive Director of the Atlanta Cancer Care Foundation (ACCF), leading the fundraising, administration, governance, communications, outreach and planning efforts of this locally-focused 501(c)(3) charity. ACCF provides fast, flexible, compassionate financial assistance to adult cancer patients throughout the 17-county Metro Atlanta area who are struggling as a result of the financial toxicity associated with the disease, and I am proud to be part of an organization that pays more than $200,000 in bills each year, so that patients can focus on what matters most - their treatment and recovery.

Kids on the Move for Success
WHAT I DO: As an "accidental hostage negotiator" where I saved more than 850 lives in the only school shooting that ended without injury or death, I took this experience & now teach "Tuff Tactics" & crisis management techniques to audiences nationwide to keep everyone safer.
MY STORY: On August 19, 2013, I was a school bookkeeper, severely depressed that my husband of 33 years had recently left and I was facing the daunting challenges of raising a son with multiple disabilities as a single Mom. On August 20, 2013. I used my experiences with challenging life issues to successfully convince an armed gunman who entered the Ronald E. McNair Discovery Learning Academy to give me his AK-47. This is the only school active shooter situation in the US that ended without death or injury to school students, faculty, parents or the shooter himself.
Since that time, I have been sharing my story which has been turned into a movie (Faith Under Fire: The Antoinette Tuff Story) and a book (Prepared For a Purpose) with audiences nationwide where I share how my everyday crisis management techniques with Tuff Tactics & how they apply to a wide variety situations, both large and small. I am passionate about connecting with and inspiring businesses and public agencies to disarm their upset customers.
