4.12 Social Cycle Theories

4.12 Social Cycle Theories

Author: OurFoundations April 27, 2022 Duration: 1:04:39
There are a great many social cycle theories out there and this is an introduction to many of the most relevant for our time and this current series. I cover Khaldun, Tonnies, Durkheim, Sarkar, Sorokin, W. H. Smyth, Strauss and Howe, the Bible, Kaczynski, and McLuhan. I'm drawing out their views specifically on the cycles that societies go through. They are approached from various angles and various time frames and at this point are slightly disparate. There is some obvious overlap however. The next episode will bring them all together with some of my own work into a more chronological and structured cohesive framework.    97.
