Alec Bauer is the Principal and Creative Director of Kitchen, Restaurant & Bar Specialists (KRBS), a Burlington, Vermont-based foodservice design consultancy.

A graduate of the New England Culinary Institute, he honed his skills as a chef in renowned kitchens like The Ryland Inn, Auberge du Soleil, Maison Blanche in Paris, and The Four Seasons San Francisco.

Bauer transitioned to foodservice consulting and design in 2005, founding KRBS—initially from his San Francisco Bay Area garage—now headquartered at 36 Locust St. in Burlington, where he lives with his family and rescue coonhound, Beazy.
