Ep. 623: We Create What We Consume

Ep. 623: We Create What We Consume

Author: Danny-J Johnson & Jill Coleman April 22, 2026 Duration: 47:42

Our algorithms feed us the things we consume the most, and unfortunately for us, we love looking at memes about men being evil. But as funny as the people of the internet are, we do want to be mindful of what we’re consuming because what consumer colors our perception of the world—and believe it or not, we don’t actually hate men. But the same thing is true for memes about being broke, fat, ugly, or any other negative thing we could call ourselves. If we take too much of it in, it starts to become our reality, and that’s not the Best Life we dreamed for ourselves, all those years ago.

Hosted by Danny-J Johnson and Jill Coleman, The Best Life Podcast is a candid conversation about building a meaningful existence on your own terms. This isn't about generic advice; it's a practical exploration of how the pieces of a fulfilling life actually fit together. You'll hear discussions that connect the dots between practical ambition and personal well-being, tackling topics like smart productivity systems, the psychology behind money mindsets, and navigating relationships with honest communication. The dialogue often draws from principles of positive psychology and cultivating abundance, not as separate goals, but as integrated parts of a whole. The aim is to move beyond just success in business or fitness-though those are in the mix-and toward a more cohesive vision. Each episode in this podcast is designed to challenge assumptions and offer actionable perspectives, whether the subject is entrepreneurial resilience, mental health, or redefining what personal achievement really means. It's for anyone questioning the standard blueprint and actively constructing a life that feels genuinely chosen, not accidental. Tune in for thoughtful, often unconventional, takes on self-improvement that acknowledge the messy, non-linear path of real growth.
