#636: Catastrophizing & All-or-Nothing Thinking

Have you ever found yourself spiraling out of control, imagining the worst possible outcome, even when things aren't that bad? Maybe you've caught yourself thinking, 'If this doesn't work out, everything will fall apart' or 'I can't afford to fail at this, it'll ruin everything.' 

This type of thinking, known as catastrophizing, is when we blow things out of proportion, expecting the worst without evidence. It's easy to get caught up in all-or-nothing thinking, where we see situations in extremes—either perfect or disastrous. But the good news is, it doesn't have to control you.

 

In today's episode, we're going to break down how to recognize these thoughts, why they happen, and most importantly, how to stop them in their tracks so you can feel more confident and calm in every situation.
