109. Gratitude in July & Envisioning August: Embracing your Summer Rituals and Rhythms

Author: Lorrie Mickelson, Habits & Self Care July 19, 2024 Duration: 26:28

Hey Habit Thrivers, are you in your summer rhythm😎 yet?

I hope so, because now is the time to embrace🤗 that rhythm and look forward to the next month, the rest of summer, and the start of fall.

Yes, fall!🍁

Those of you who are already planners know🤔 how the process of thinking forward and planning ahead can bring about more adventure🙌, engagement, and enjoyment😁 than just letting life “happen” to you.

A planner/tracker isn’t just a tool for busy professionals🤓 - anyone from students to parents to retirees can use a planner to make the most of their days, weeks, months, and seasons.🥳

Now you may be saying, “But, Lorrie, I’m having a great summer. Why would I want to make plans to change that?”🙄

You don’t!

Planning ahead doesn’t necessarily mean that you are looking for better.☝️

You could be planning for more of what you already have!

✅More travel

✅More family gatherings

✅More hunkering down

✅More home repairs

✅More bucket list items

Or just a balance between being productive and allowing yourself time to rest and rejuvenate.😌

Once you pick up a journaling habit, you can start to use your planner to remind yourself on a yearly basis things you did that you enjoyed or things you missed that you want to try:

⭐A concert or festival

⭐A sporting event

⭐A trip

⭐A class

So think about what you want your theme to be in August, and let’s get planning!🫶
