"How deep is YOUR love?!"

When was the last time you body surfed, or were on stage at a show? That's the heavy topic when discussing an old favourite such as Goldfinger.

This band has been a part of our lives for as long as we've been going to shows as a regular pastime. This album is still a go-to for both of us, and stands as one of our all time favourite self-titled debut releases.

You know that feeling when you find a CD you haven't spun in years, and the opening chords instantly drag you back to a specific moment? That's the spirit of The Pod Punk Cast. Hosted by brothers Duncan Smith and Scott Smith, this isn't just a clinical review show. It's a conversation built on shared memories, sparked by the classic albums that defined a genre and, more importantly, their own lives. Each episode settles into a single, influential pop-punk record, pulling apart the tracklist, the production, and the cultural moment it captured. But the real heart of the discussion is the personal impact-how these albums provided a soundtrack for road trips, heartbreaks, and friendships, evolving in meaning from teenage years into adulthood. The result is a podcast that feels like hanging out in a friend's basement, debating whether that deep cut holds up and laughing about the times these songs meant everything. It's for anyone who believes music is more than background noise; it's a time capsule. Tune in for the deep dives on the bands you loved, but stay for the stories that remind you why they mattered in the first place.
