Author: Greensboro News & Record Sports September 28, 2018 Duration: 22:11
Mandy Wahl, a Greensboro resident and employee at Fleet Feet Sports, is balancing her new life as a mother – Mara was born April 23 – with her love for ultramarathon running. In this episode of The Running Shorts Show, Wahl discusses runs in September at the Blue Ridge Relay and at the Doggettville 12 relay and ultra marathon less than five months after Mara's birth – but also some long-distances races in late 2017 and early 2018 in which Mara tagged along before she was born.

Eddie Wooten, who writes the Running Shorts blog for the Greensboro News & Record, brings his conversations from the page to your ears with The Running Shorts Show. Rather than just discussing race times and training plans, Eddie sits down with the people who make up the running community, starting right here in North Carolina's Triad region. You'll hear from local runners sharing their personal stories, the reasons they lace up their shoes, and the challenges they've overcome. The scope occasionally broadens to include voices from across the country, offering a wider perspective on the sport. This podcast is built on genuine conversation, capturing the passion, the setbacks, and the triumphs that define a runner's journey. It’s an extension of the blog, providing a more intimate, audio-driven connection to the sport and its participants. Tune in for regular episodes that feel like a chat with a friend on a long run, full of insight and camaraderie from the heart of the running world.
