Reclaiming Dignity and Purpose with Tamara Holder

Reclaiming Dignity and Purpose with Tamara Holder

Author: Guy Crawford Macpherson January 23, 2026 Duration: 28:09
Tamara Holder is a civil rights attorney and former media commentator who survived a high-profile sexual assault during her time at Fox News, where she worked as a contributor and legal analyst. Her path through trauma, public scrutiny, and personal reinvention led her to the Divided Sky Foundation—a recovery nonprofit founded by Phish frontman Trey Anastasio—where she now helps create spaces for people in recovery to reclaim dignity, community, and purpose.

Drawing from both her legal background and lived experience, Tamara advocates for women, survivors, and those in recovery. She played a pivotal role in launching the Divided Sky Foundation’s Women’s Scholarship Fund, which now has over $300,000 committed to supporting women’s access to compassionate, gender-responsive care.

Divided Sky Foundation & Women’s Scholarship Fund
  • Accessible, barrier-free treatment: DSF removes financial obstacles and avoids red tape, offering flexible, mission-driven care for anyone seeking recovery.

  • Trusted statewide partner: Agencies and hospitals across Vermont refer to DSF knowing no one is turned away for financial reasons.

  • Comprehensive residential support: DSF provides a deeply supportive environment that helps people through every stage of recovery.

  • Women’s Scholarship Fund leadership: Created and championed by Tamara Holder, who personally sponsored the first recipient in 2023.

  • Growing impact: Launched in 2025, the fund now exceeds $300,000 and aims for $500,000 by year’s end — helping fill DSF’s women’s floor to capacity.

  • Equity in recovery: The fund helps women overcome financial, familial, and emotional barriers, reinforcing the message that women deserve a safe space to heal and recover.
