Today we’re joined for the first time by Jackie Berube-Black. Jackie, was an Academic All-American gymnast at the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse. She also competed one year on the varsity men’s wrestling team in the 118 pound weight division. After college she wrestled on the USA Women’s National Wrestling Team and won a silver medal at the World Championships in 1996. In 1998 while working as a strength and conditioning coach at Northwestern University she shifted her focus to weightlifting.

From there and in this sport she became a 6-Time National Champion, many time representative of Team USA on the international stage, 2005 Pan American Champion, former American Record Holder, and now member of the USA Weightlifting Hall of Fame.

In this episode we talk about her athletic journey through all of the different sports she was very successful in, and how this all led to her hew position with USA Weightlifting where she is coaching and leading our Youth! Enjoy the show!
