SoundCloud TTL Zoom- Epi 21 - Oops Theme - 10.25.22. Storytelling

Author: True Tales Live NH Non-Profit Corporation October 26, 2022 Duration: 58:05
The theme is "Oops!" Recorded with a Zoom audience on October 25, 2022... three storytellers shared their stories based on our theme. Amy Antonucci who is our announcer was also a storyteller on tonight's show and the title of her story was "What We Need." Tom Ostberg's story was "Oops Dear, Can You Find A Ride Home?" and Jo Radner's story was entitled "Eyebrows." Pat Spalding is the Emcee. John Lovering is the A/V Editor. Sara Bedingfield and Kemetia Foley were production assistants. This is the audio version of the storytelling portion of the show. The "Backstory Conversation" hosted by David Phreaner with his guest storyteller, Jo Radner, can be found on this podcast as a separate audio file from the main show. The ENTIRE show will be available on Portsmouth Public Media TV NH - YouTube Channel in one or two days. Here is the link to the True Tales Live Playlist on that channel: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLu8guPhQX33CUUQBX9rXdC26fgpdMm-bh True Tales Live is on Facebook @truetaleslive and our website is www.truetaleslivenh.org Be a storyteller! There’s a particular magic in hearing someone tell a real story from their own life, without notes or scripts, just the raw, unfiltered human voice. That’s the heart of True Tales Live. For nearly a decade, this unique program has been capturing these moments, first on radio, then local cable, and now as a podcast you can take with you anywhere. Each episode gathers three to six people who step up to the mic to share a personal story, all loosely connected by a changing monthly theme-think of topics like "Lost and Found" or "Unexpected Turns." For years, the recordings happened before a live audience in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, on the last Tuesday of the month. These days, the community often gathers virtually on Zoom, preserving that intimate, immediate feeling. The resulting conversations are authentic, sometimes funny, often moving, and always deeply human. Tuning into this podcast is like pulling up a chair in a cozy room where strangers become familiar through the universal act of sharing a part of themselves. It’s a direct line to the kind of stories that usually stay around kitchen tables, now broadcast for everyone. The True Tales Live NH Non-Profit Corporation produces it, and you can also catch the show on local cable, but as a podcast, it offers a portable, personal way to connect with the simple, powerful art of storytelling.
