On September 17th, Santa Monica hosted “UNFINISHED: Cocktails & Conversation for Gender Equality,” a high-energy fundraiser rallying support for the Equal Rights Amendment’s constitutional ratification. Featuring stars like Gloria Steinem and Dolly Parton, who received an award for her advocacy, the event brought together Alyssa Milano and Lisa Ann Walter to discuss why gender equality must be enshrined in the U.S. Constitution. With a fireside chat, tribute to Steinem, live auction, and attendees receiving a stamped copy of the Constitution with the ERA text, it was both a celebration and call to action—raising funds and awareness to push for the amendment’s official recognition and cementing equality as a fundamental right.
