Vinyl Vinnie @ Rokagroove Radio Episode 228

Dive into the raw, unfiltered energy of underground dance music's foundational years with Vinyl Vinnie's Oldskool House/Techno/Rave Podcast. This isn't a curated history lesson; it's a direct line to the warehouse parties and smoky clubs where these genres forged their identity. Each episode is a meticulously crafted journey, built from the ground up using only vinyl records. You'll hear the warm crackle of the needle dropping, the relentless pulse of a classic 909, and the soaring, often forgotten vocal samples that defined an era. The podcast focuses purely on the music, letting extended mixes and seamless blends speak for themselves. Expect to rediscover seminal tracks and hidden gems from the late 80s and early 90s, all mixed with the technical respect and intuitive flow that only a true enthusiast like Vinyl Vinnie can provide. It's a weekly dose of nostalgia for those who were there and an essential education for anyone wanting to understand the soul behind the beat. The sound is authentically rough-around-the-edges, prioritizing the driving rhythm and emotional crescendos that made people lose themselves on the dancefloor. Tune in for a consistent, no-frills archive of pure atmosphere, where every set is a testament to the timeless power of analog sound.
