This week's special guest is Mr. Whit Davis. Whit is on the ballot for Forsyth County District Judge. We had a great convo discussing multiple topics highlighted below. Whit is currently a Public Defender for Forsyth County. We hope this information and interview give you new insight to his platform and what he stands for.

  • Tell us about what you are doing now and how does that transfer into District Court Judge.
  • In your current role, have you been working with and assisting under-served communities and how do you deal with that?
  • What do you believe the root cause of the high level of juvenile offenders is?
  • What do you think that stems from?
  • What can the court system do to reduce that or offer alternatives?
  • What can the community do to help?
  • How is diversity on the bench important or do you feel it's something that is needed?
  • How do you feel about the Black Lives Matter Movement? Do you see any push back from the system?
  • Meredith and Brian explain how Black Lives Matter ties into Vote On Purpose.
  • Getting young voters out to vote. How to break the stigma of your vote doesn't count.
