BJ built Fazeli Cellars to reflect pride for his own rich cultural heritage. What began as a family day trip in 2001 has burgeoned into one of the Temecula Wine Region’s most prestigious and celebrated wineries. When BJ and his family originally toured the Temecula Valley, it was just for a relaxing day trip to explore the local wine country and at the time no one in the Fazeli family could have imagined that this simple getaway would serve as the beginning of a life-changing adventure.The Fazeli’s fell in love with the Valley and purchased land to grow some grapes and maybe make a little wine however, BJ Fazeli has never understood the meaning of the word “little”. Connecting with his Persian ancestry, BJ Fazeli chose the Shiraz grape as the benchmark grape for his winery. From there, Fazeli Cellars’ commitment to excellence has transformed his winery into home for high quality wines that pay homage to the rich cultural heritage of Ancient Persia – with roots firmly planted in modern Southern California.Originating from his native Persia (now Iran), BJ Fazeli’s entrepreneurial acumen propelled his career as a pioneering executive in direct response marketing where he founded one of the industry’s most successful businesses, as well as launched art galleries and a successful restaurant in London.
