453: Feeding Your Family The Wise Traditions Way

453: Feeding Your Family The Wise Traditions Way

Author: Weston A. Price Foundation December 18, 2023 Duration: 1:12:24

Where to start to nourish our family well? How do we make the time and develop rhythms to feed the family ancestrally? How can we incorporate more nutrient-dense foods on a regular basis? What if the family isn't "into it"?

How do we handle moving in this direction, when the whole world seems to be going the other way?

We posed these questions to a panel of experts at the Wise Traditions conference in Kansas in October 2023. Maureen Diaz, Hilary Boynton, Christine Muldoon, and Sally Fallon Morell were the panelists of wise women, who have much experience and over 20 kids collectively! Maureen leads God's Good Table. Hilary Boynton is an author and the head of School of Lunch. Christine Muldoon, from the Modern Ancestral Mamas podcast, is head of Nourish the Littles. And Sally Fallon Morell is the founder and president of the Weston A. Price Foundation.

On this LIVE podcast, they tackle these questions and more. They address how to handle picky eaters, how to meal plan, and how they handle feelings of loneliness and challenge. They even share their secret tools of the trade, along with mistakes they've made along the way. We hope this live interview inspires you to continue to nourish your family well.

The conversations on Wise Traditions, presented by the Weston A. Price Foundation, explore a path to well-being that feels almost forgotten. This isn't about the latest trends or synthetic solutions; it's a deep dive into the dietary patterns and living wisdom of ancestral communities who achieved remarkable physical health. Each episode brings forward voices-researchers, farmers, clinicians, and healers-who discuss practical applications of this knowledge for contemporary life. You'll hear detailed discussions on sourcing and preparing nutrient-dense foods, the role of traditional fats, the gut microbiome, and the profound connections between soil health and human health. The podcast operates from a core principle articulated by Dr. Weston A. Price himself: that true vitality comes from aligning with nature's laws, not attempting to supersede them. It’s for anyone questioning conventional dietary advice and seeking a more rooted, evidence-based approach to fitness and holistic wellness. Tune in for a consistently challenging and enriching perspective that redefines what it means to be truly nourished, drawing on centuries of human experience to inform our choices today.
