3WPR Oak FM 101.3

Oak FM 101.3 is the community radio station of Wangaratta, in north-east Victoria, with its signal reaching into southern New South Wales. The name carries real local geography: OAK stands for the Ovens and King rivers, which meet at the town the station calls home.

Programming keeps the broadest possible tent - many genres of music from old classics to today's hits - with a deliberate push to promote local artists and put them on air, alongside interviews with visiting rock figures and steady coverage of local sport, from Aussie Rules football and netball to cricket, plus weather updates for the region's towns.

Funded through tax-deductible listener donations, memberships and sponsorship rather than advertising, the English-language station keeps a free live stream running online - north-east Victoria community radio to listen online, from the Ovens and King to anywhere in the world.
