About 3BBO - 3BO 93.5 FM
3BO is one of regional radio's grand old names: founded in Bendigo on 4 June 1931 by AWA, broadcasting first on 960 AM and later 945, and still on air today as Triple M Bendigo on 93.5 FM after converting in April 1993.
The ownership trail reads like a history of Australian radio itself - AWA, Wesgo, Broadcast Media Group, DMG and now Southern Cross Austereo - and the format has settled into the Triple M network's mainstream rock brand, adopted in December 2016 with the callsign 3BBO marking its Bendigo origins.
Local breakfast still comes from the Golden Square studios, with sister station Hit91.9 handling the hits end of Bendigo from the same licensee, and a 120-kilowatt signal pushing rock across the goldfields. Free to stream online, it makes an easy rock web radio listen - ninety years of Bendigo radio, now with guitars, for Central Victoria and anywhere in the world.
