Radio Shqip

Radio Shqip - the name means simply Albanian Radio - is a Tirana-based broadcaster with an address you would not expect: its offices sit inside the Rogner Hotel on Bulevardi Deshmoret e Kombit, one of the capital's best-known landmarks. Its own self-description is just as simple: selected Albanian music, around the clock.

The playlist is built from Albanian hits - pop and contemporary tracks from Albania, Kosovo and the wider Albanian-speaking scene - while the website around the stream doubles as a small news outlet, publishing stories from Albania alongside music and cinema updates. A separate sister stream, Radio Shqip Popullore, takes care of traditional folk.

Listening happens online: the live player sits on the Degjo Live page at shqipfm.al, and the stream is carried by the directories that catalogue Albanian radios. Social updates run on the station's Facebook and Twitter pages.
