Radio Tarhan

Radio Tarhan is an online radio project from Afghanistan, founded in 2021 by Hafizullah Habib. It describes itself as free of any political affiliation, with two simple goals: to entertain and to spread information. A year after the launch it grew into a small multilingual family - Tarhan Arabic, Tarhan English, Tarhan Farsi, Tarhan Turkish and Tarhan Hindi joined the original stream.

The main channel broadcasts in Turkmen, with Turkish and Persian also present, which makes it one of the few media outlets speaking to the Turkmen community of Afghanistan. Music and light entertainment form the core of the schedule, in line with its community radio character rather than a news-driven format.

Every Tarhan stream runs live 24 hours a day on the project's own website and on Zeno.FM, so the radio can be heard online at any time; the station also keeps its own Instagram and YouTube channels for updates.
