Triple J Brisbane

Triple J is the national youth network of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, heard in Brisbane on 107.7 FM. It began life in 1975 as Double Jay in Sydney and grew into the home of new and alternative music in Australia, with a charter to champion local artists alongside the best of the international scene.

Few radio institutions anywhere have shaped a music culture like this one: the annual Hottest 100 countdown, voted by listeners, is a national event; the Like a Version segment has produced years of memorable covers recorded in its studios; and triple j Unearthed gives unsigned Australian musicians a way onto the national stage. The network reaches every capital and hundreds of regional towns, but the identity stays young, loud and curious. The Brisbane feed joins the same live online stream, so the network can be heard anywhere in the world.
