3MEL - Nova 100

Nova 100 is the Melbourne station of the Nova network, broadcasting on 100.3 FM. When Nova launched in December 2001 - the brand had started in Sydney that same April - it changed the sound of Melbourne radio - a fresh hit-music format with a wink, made for listeners who found the older stations tired. The formula holds: the biggest pop songs, a breakfast show the city quotes, and contests that give away serious prizes - cash, cars and festival trips.

The station has kept a strong local identity even as Nova grew into a national network: Melbourne voices, Melbourne events, and coverage of the festival and football calendar of the city. The 100.3 signal covers Melbourne, and the live online stream carries Nova 100 to listeners anywhere - including Melburnians interstate and abroad.
