Local Sounds Radio

Local Sounds Radio runs on a simple promise: independent Australian music, amplified. The Brisbane-based online station plays the artists the big networks pass over - unsigned and independent Australian musicians, on air around the clock, so the local scene gets a permanent place to be heard - fitting for a city that produced The Saints and the Go-Betweens.

The project is more than a stream. The Local Sounds platform gives artists tools to grow: monthly Artist Pulse reports, press kits, tracking of radio plays, and the SoundVerge section covering news and interviews from the local scene. For listeners it works like a discovery engine - new Australian music before anyone else plays it. The station streams live online, free, to anyone who wants to hear what the independent scene is making right now.
