Magic FM Perth

Magic FM on 87.8 FM calls itself the home of easy favourites in Perth, and it has earned the title since December 1997. The format is unique on the local dial: pop-jazz, soul and big band, the Great American Songbook sung by a growing generation of new performers - Diana Krall, Michael Buble and their peers - alongside the originals. The station describes its sound as contemporary cool meeting classic cool - a resurgence of the mellow, hip style the airwaves lost.

The day has its rituals: Pete Brown at breakfast, Sinatra at 6 every morning and evening, and Saturday Night Swing with Chloe B to close the week. The station is an independent narrowcast with a loyal mature audience, broadcasting from Dianella. Magic FM also streams live online and answers to smart speakers, so the easy favourites of Perth are available anywhere.
