ABC Triple J

ABC Triple J - written triple j by the station itself - is the national youth network of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. Since 1975 it has been the place where new Australian music breaks first: alternative, hip hop, electronic and rock, played by presenters who live inside the scene they cover.

The network runs on famous rituals: the Hottest 100, the listener-voted countdown that stops the country every January; Like a Version, the cover sessions that have their own legend; and Unearthed, the platform that has launched hundreds of Australian acts. The family includes Double J, the sister station for the older alumni of the network. Heard on FM in every capital and streaming live online, triple j is less a station than a national habit for anyone under forty - and a discovery engine for everyone else.
