The Black Ivory Podcast 2nd April 2026

Every Thursday at 7pm UK time Ron Throop and I broadcast The Black Ivory Podcast. Emma Pugmire is also usually there. It's a live broadcast about our art and attempts to self-publish it. Ron is in Oswego, New York state and I'm in London. Both Ron and I are give our artwork away for free to members of the public. We call it Free Art Frees Art. My blog also has a FREE ART FREES ART page that has info and videos of both Ron's and my days out give our paintings, drawings, and in Ron's case, books to passers-by who are willing to do a short video interview. In this weeks BLACK IVORY PODCAST Ron and I talk about our most recent series of paintings, about Stuckism, and about our plans to make a film about FREE ART FREES ART. We may both be travelling later this year, perhaps to Thailand where we would collaborate on filming and painting. We did exactly this last year, when Ron visited us in Muswell Hill, London. We made some collaboration paintings under the name Jonron. We also made some collaboration paintings with Charles Thomson, founder of Stuckism, under the name Jonronthom. Ron and I also recorded four jazz improvisation albums under the name Farangers. A lot of this was filmed for a film Ron made called "Stuckism A-Z" which you can watch online.
