The Camden Market Free Art Man 7th April 2026

Giving my art away for free on the streets of Camden Market. It was the hottest day of the year so far. I'm not usually at Camden Market on Tuesdays, but as I missed all last weekend due to the wind, I went. Today turned out well in the end, but for the first two hours I had no interest at all. I would like to stay later. If I can find somewhere at Camden to leave my stuff, I can. Otherwise, carrying the suitcase and laundry bag full of untaken large paintings is too much for evening rush hour. Only one large painting was taken today, by a woman who was, I think, visiting from Brighton. She took it for her husband who couldn't come due to work. James, a man who took some of my art over a year ago came. He alreay has one of the "Never Mind the Pollocks" prints. I stopped taking them as I wanted to just have original artworks. Maybe work on the ones I have at home, or make original home made prints of the same design. I have so many though, and so many other things to do that I will probably just take the existing ones as they are. I noticed today that I should do some signage in foreign languages, with flags so more tourists can understand that you're supposed to do an interview. Not just take one and walk off. By the end of the day it was clear that week days are just as good as weekends for staging The Camden Market Free Art Man. So tomorrow, I'll be there again. It just leaves the problem of when to do the paintings.
