The 4 tendencies was developed by Gretchen Rubin and helps to know how you tend to respond to expectations.  The 4 tendencies are Rebel, Obliged, Upholder and Questioner.  How do the 4 tendencies respond to expectations and what are the 4 questions to ask yourself to find out which sounds like you?    Rebel  -resists inner and outer expectations and wakes up saying “what do I want to do today?”   A rebels strategy for meeting a goal and staying motivated is going to be Identity.  This is what I am. The question they wake up saying is “what do I have to do today?”  If this sounds like you then your strategy for staying motivation is going to be accountability.   Upholder- meets outer expectations and meets inner expectations.
