Beer Snob Allegations

Beer Snob Allegations

Author: Craft Beer Republic April 15, 2026 Duration: 36:18

Welcome back to Craft Beer Republic where Flex finally ends his sober run in style, Greg gets called out for being a “beer snob,” and cheap beers at the Masters become a highlight of the week. There’s a voicemail that turns into a full-on defense case, a questionable corn-chewing beer origin story, and a reminder that not every bad pour is your fault. Plus, Bapple is back, whether anyone asked for it or not.

Beers We’re Drinking:

  1. Flex is drinking Supa Sumo from Toppling Goliath Brewing, hazy double IPA with bright orange and soft pineapple.
  2. Greg is drinking Short Lived (MadeWest x There Does Not Exist), West Coast IPA, light body with peach and dry citrus finish.

Flex checks back in after 53 days off and wastes no time getting back into the rotation, while Greg admits his own short break ended with an all-day wine run that hit a little different the next morning. Chew leaves a voicemail calling Greg out for being too hard on beers, which turns into a full back-and-forth on bad cans, clean glassware, and whether beer festivals are actually worth it. Greg doubles down on calling it like he tastes it, Flex backs the idea of giving beers a fair shot, and somehow it all leads into a conversation about Dogfish Head making beer from chewed corn and whether that’s something anyone should willingly try.

Booze News:

  1. Black Hammer Brewing shuts down after years in San Francisco.
  2. The Masters keeps beers at $6 and sandwiches cheaper than gas station snacks.
  3. Busch Light Apple returns and people are already stockpiling it.
