In June, 2022, the federal government announced that $100 million from the Technology Modernization Fund will be allocated specifically for projects that improve the citizen experience. The idea, according to the TMF’s board, is to improve the public’s ability to access and manage government services by delivering self-service digital tools and services and improving non-digital channels like customer call centers.
