(15:40). QUESTIONS ANSWERED A listener asks Vinnie to explain why he is against quinoa and how the "F**k Quinoa" phrase originated. (17:15) People argue that it's a seed, not a grain and that it has protein. Vinnie gives the breakdown of why that argument is nonsense Protein: 1/4 lb of beef has 16g of protein, and a cup of quinoa is only 8g. Carbs: Meat has none, and quinoa has (in 1 cup, cooked) 39g of carbs. You would have to eat a significant amount more quinoa to get high protein, but that also gets packaged with a ridiculous amount of carbs. Vinnie's Instagram post from May 18th about3 foods not to eat has gone viral. (32:00) It has teachable moments, but a lot of people got "butthurt" and responded with negative comments, especially about oatmeal. Vinnie has never wavered on his message, because when you tell the truth, there's no reason to waver. (42:30) So what makes a good breakfast? One word: EGGS. Vinnie explains why. (43:30) Eggs are the perfect food. People are just trying to learn facts, but there is so much misinformation. Anna sees this on Reddit about the topic of menopause and gives examples of misinformation and confusion. (42:00) Misinformation leads to incredible nonsense such as the required killing of thousands of cattle in Northern Ireland "to help the environment." (48:00) There are actions and policies being created that don't even make basic sense! Vinnie and Anna are trying to get the word out for the correct information. (53:00) It's a fight with both lobbyists and political figures. You can still vote with your dollars in the marketplace and only buy things that are healthy. Anna gives an example of this regarding grass-fed beef prices. They share a couple of dog stories, including one which eats Anna's books. (59:00) You can make so many goodies with Anna's books!
